Your Instructor Scott Nichol This course examines the principal issues associated with modern domestic & international terrorism and efforts to counter it. The objective of the course is to provide the student with a broad understanding of both domestic & international terrorism, and to enhance the ability to engage knowledgeably in discussion and debate on the subject. The course considers a wide range of questions in order to provide students with a deeper understanding of the threat of terrorism today. Among the questions we will examine are: How has terrorism evolved over time? As we live in times where government budgets are shrinking which seems to effect our front line departments constantly and the rate where gun crime grows increasingly on a daily basis which has seen many of our law enforcement being shot and killed and most recently the senseless shooting of one of our EMS members. In a time where there is such a threat of terror & so much violence foreign & domestic. We also live in a time where there is war on the very people that help protect us our Law Enforcement and First Responders. First responders are very people who put their lives on the line to protect the great people of America & around the world. They are first on the scene of some very serious situations, So it is our responsibility to make sure that our first responers are safe and their civilians.
